This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the quarterly and annual income tax provision process in alignment with ASC 740.
• Prepare and evaluate U.S. current and deferred income tax calculations.
• Manage accounting for uncertain tax positions (FIN 48 / ASC 740-10).
• Conduct effective tax rate analyses and clarify period-over-period tax rate drivers.
• Prepare and assess income tax footnote disclosures for SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• Assist in quarterly earnings processes by providing tax analyses, forecasts, and materials for executive-level reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Oversee U.S. federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance activities.
• Manage external tax service providers responsible for preparing U.S. federal and state tax returns.
• Review components of tax returns, such as Schedule M adjustments, fixed asset and depreciation calculations, tax credits, state apportionment and nexus analyses, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax filing requirements.
• Lead U.S. federal, state, and local income tax audits, examinations, notices, and controversy matters.
• Manage tax reserves related to ongoing audits and controversies.
• Support tax planning initiatives aimed at optimizing the Company's effective tax rate and cash tax position.
• Conduct technical research, tax reform analysis, and projects for strategic planning.
• Aid in SOX 404 compliance by maintaining and enhancing tax-related internal controls.
• Work alongside Internal Audit and external auditors on control testing and documentation.
• Enhance tax processes through automation, standardization, and data analytics.
• Mentor and develop junior tax professionals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or within a publicly traded multinational corporation.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of certification.
• Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 Income Tax Accounting.
• Strong technical expertise in FIN 48 / Uncertain Tax Positions.
• Strong technical expertise in SEC reporting requirements (10-Q and 10-K).
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. Federal & Multi-State Corporate Income Tax Compliance.
• Strong technical expertise in tax audits and controversy management.
• Experience in managing external tax advisors and service providers.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities under tight quarterly closing deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the capability to interact effectively with senior leadership and external auditors.
• Remote work available within the United States.
• Occasional travel required for team meetings, planning sessions, or other business needs.
