This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Maintain and refresh the assigned customer tax profiles, which include jurisdictions, account numbers, unemployment insurance rates, filing frequencies, account statuses, and other employer tax attributes.
• Ensure precise and timely updates of tax profiles using approved systems and tools.
• Oversee assigned customer cases and internal tasks from initiation to resolution, which entails prioritization, research, documentation, communication, follow-up, closure, or transfer.
• Assist with inquiries regarding tax profiles, tax-code setup requirements, general payroll tax questions, and issues reported by customers regarding data.
• Analyze payroll tax data at both employer and employee levels, investigating discrepancies related to wages, taxes, data, or configurations.
• Recognize situations that may impact funding, payments, filings, reconciliations, or customer reporting, and take corrective actions or escalate as necessary.
• Employ outreach and escalation methods, set expectations, and ensure thorough handoffs when specialized ownership is needed.
• Collaborate within Tax Operations and utilize Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools to manage tasks, identify exceptions, and facilitate decision-making.
• Achieve service levels, deadlines, quality standards, production expectations, and essential monthly, quarterly, year-end, or ad hoc business requirements.
• Safeguard customer and company information, engage in training and process enhancements, adapt to evolving requirements, and embody OSV values.
• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax concepts and multi-jurisdictional requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to organize, compare, filter, and analyze data effectively.
• Capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering accurate and well-documented work.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, possessing exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred experience in payroll tax outsourcing or managed-services.
• Background in payroll tax, payroll operations, tax data management, or a similar data-intensive service environment is preferred.
• Dependable attendance, sustained attention, confidentiality, and efficient virtual collaboration are essential.
