This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the daily operations of the people function and manage the entire recruitment process.
• Coordinate sourcing, interviewing, candidate pipelines, offer generation, and onboarding procedures.
• Facilitate a thorough onboarding experience and conduct follow-ups with new employees.
• Process payroll across three different systems and manage benefits, annual leave, and contract renewals.
• Prepare employment and consultancy contracts along with offer letters.
• Ensure legal compliance with assistance from legal advisors.
• Update and maintain people policies and the employee handbook.
• Provide support for home-working health and safety and manage people-related risks.
• Audit people processes and systems, implementing improvements as the team expands.
• Oversee IT setup, device management, and off-boarding procedures.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for any people-related inquiries.
• Manage processes related to disciplinary actions, grievances, off-boarding, and exit interviews.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Operations and team leaders.
• Establish yourself as the trusted first point of contact for inquiries regarding people and talent.
• Proven experience in managing people operations and talent in a company with 35+ employees, including the ability to scale processes effectively.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law, best practices in people management, and compliance regulations.
• Practical experience in managing contracts and policies.
• Demonstrated success in overseeing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Experience in managing payroll, benefits, and people systems, preferably across various countries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment on sensitive and confidential matters.
• Dependable self-starter who can set direction and execute plans independently.
• Experience in supporting a remote-first or internationally distributed team (preferred).
• Familiarity with Employer of Record models and multi-country payroll systems (preferred).
• Proficiency with technology and tools (preferred).
