Talent Acquisition Specialist, Bilingual in Portuguese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee staffing operations within a specified region.

• Collaborate with operational management to design and implement timely, cost-effective staffing strategies.

• Discover and nurture hiring sources through networking, colleague referrals, Internet Mining technology, competitor candidate databases, candidate pipeline management, and staffing technology.

• Administer the regional recruiting budget by utilizing cost-effective advertising and engaging third-party recruiters.

• Create a list of preferred third-party recruiter suppliers and negotiate discounted contract rates with the National Director of Staffing.

• Evaluate, interview, and assess applicants as necessary.

• Maintain the applicant database by using electronic recruiting software.

• Provide regional staffing metrics and monitor colleague retention rates.

• Advise regional management on issues that impact turnover.

• Train and mentor hiring managers and Colleague Resource Generalists in the use of electronic recruiting software.

• Educate users on system updates and offer training for new users.

• Encourage and assist with training on Behavioral Interviewing Techniques and candidate assessment tools.

• Support and train Colleague Resources Generalists in staffing methodologies.

• Carry out additional assigned responsibilities.

• Travel as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• PHR or SPHR Certification is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese.

• A minimum of four (4) years of staffing experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.

• At least three (3) years as a direct recruiter in a high-volume, challenging industry.

• Experience in insurance industry recruiting is preferred.

• Familiarity with recruiting software is preferred.

• Knowledge of employment laws and practices.

• Working knowledge of e-recruiting concepts and systems.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.

• Proficiency in PC applications, particularly Microsoft Office products.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Excellent negotiation skills.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills.

• Capacity to work independently.

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Capability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
