Systems Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Develop and present a Test Plan and Test Procedures for each testing activity, enhancement, or update.

• Assess and confirm functionality and performance in accordance with new specifications.

• Conduct regression testing to ensure baseline functionality is maintained.

• Carry out system-level stress and load testing, including evaluations of CPU usage, memory consumption, and operating environment analysis.

• Compile test reports that document test outcomes, identified deficiencies, planned versus actual testing, issue counts, latency, resource usage, and network bandwidth impacts.

• Execute various testing types such as manual, regression, smoke, benchmark, performance, and stress testing.

• Aid in the development of system design documents, software architecture documentation, and diagrams.

• Provide management of configurations and tracking of software versions.

• Create Test Reports, Test Plans, and Test Procedures.

• Assist with user training and the development of training materials.

• Support requirements gathering, software release management, automated pipelines, and containerization initiatives.

• Contribute to the FAA’s NAS Defense Program by providing web application testing and documentation support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

• At least three (3) years of professional experience in software testing.

• Proven experience with manual testing methodologies.

• Proficiency in creating test reports, test plans, and test procedures that encompass all results.

• Experience in testing web applications and database-driven systems.

• Familiarity with governmental software development and testing protocols.

• Experience with integrating automated testing suites into CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.

• Knowledge of automated testing methodologies is a plus.

• Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

• Preferred experience in testing systems that utilize ArcGIS and AGOL.

• Familiarity with microservices-based environments is a plus.

• Preferred experience in testing systems within a closed-network environment.

• Experience with TestRail or similar test management tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with containerized test execution using Docker is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

• Good understanding of the software development life cycle.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies and requirements.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
