Systems Integration Support Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver contractor support services for the NAVSUP Business Systems Center (BSC)

• Assess and enhance system requirements

• Architect system and application designs

• Conduct software engineering, programming, unit testing, and upkeep of assigned applications and modules

• Create and sustain system and application documentation following established software-development protocols

• Assist with application engineering and integration tasks

• Collaborate with Mission Partners, users, and technical teams

• Analyze technology tools and methodologies to provide technical recommendations

• Suggest system-engineering best practices to boost code supportability, survivability, reliability, and maintainability

• Conduct testing against acceptance criteria and definitions of completion

• Assess design feasibility, generate application prototypes, and devise solutions to problems

• Gather requirements from Mission Partners and users

• Identify, define, or adjust system and application interfaces and document interface agreements

• Offer pre-implementation training resources

• Produce documentation using Agile Scrum best practices and the NAVSUP BSC Service Delivery Model

• Aid in production outages, release-package development, Azure DevOps work-item updates, and internal review or change boards

• Transform functional designs into detailed coding logic

• Evaluate modules and systems for design validity, covering record input, data elements, and output reports

• Compile and submit executables in accordance with established standards

• Perform quality audits, investigate errors, and implement corrective measures

• Maintain professional relationships with clients, team members, and both internal and external organizations

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience and knowledge in software engineering, systems analysis, application integration, or similar technical activities

• Familiarity with the design and implementation of computer and database management systems

• Understanding of contemporary software and database engineering methodologies, design strategies, and relevant software and database standards

• Experience with one or more programming languages

• Proficiency with Microsoft development tools and in the analysis, development, maintenance, and testing of applications

• Strong technical, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and decision-making skills

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related area is required; alternatively, two years of college or technical education plus three to five years of related work experience

• Must qualify for and obtain a base access pass

• Must secure a favorable National Security Agency Check (NACI), including an FBI fingerprint check

• Must be a U.S. citizen

• Capability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers

• Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency scenarios

• Capacity to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer

• Desirable skills include: Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, web application development, service-based architectures, APIs, REST, SOAP, event-driven architectures, secure coding, application security, test plans, unit/integration/user acceptance testing, Azure DevOps, Microsoft O365, Teams, Excel, Visio, Outlook, DevSecOps, CI/CD, version control, Amazon Web Services architecture, IAT Level II certification, and government/DoD experience
