This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Validate and execute the next phase of Pavilion’s system architecture.
• Take ownership of integrations across essential systems, including platforms like Stripe, HubSpot, Hivebrite, Slack, Snowflake, AWS RDS, or similar third-party tools.
• Design and sustain dependable data flows between operational, product, sales, and financial systems, incorporating entitlement logic and payment workflows.
• Develop and manage pipelines, transformations, and data models for customer, subscription, payment, revenue, engagement, and access data.
• Oversee the technical layer for entitlements and customer access logic.
• Assist with system migrations and the implementation of new tools, including data mapping, QA, and assessing downstream reporting impacts.
• Enhance data quality, freshness, observability, testing, and monitoring.
• Document architecture, source-of-truth decisions, data definitions, and system workflows.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to convert business needs into scalable technical solutions and independently draft requirements.
• Clearly communicate trade-offs and balance speed with long-term maintainability.
• Over 10 years of experience in systems engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, backend engineering, or business systems engineering.
• Proficient in Python for developing integrations, pipelines, APIs, automations, or backend services.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• Previous ownership of operational databases such as AWS RDS, Postgres, or comparable systems.
• Experience in building and maintaining integrations with third-party SaaS tools (e.g., Slack, Hivebrite, Circle, Notion, etc.).
• Strong comprehension of APIs, webhooks, event-driven workflows, and data synchronization.
• Required experience with payment, subscription, and CRM systems; familiarity with Stripe and the ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of Stripe’s documentation is essential.
• Familiarity with Hubspot API and prior exposure to subscription-based businesses is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to create entitlement systems, access-control logic, or subscription-based products; the capacity to integrate automated workflows into the logic will also be crucial.
• Strong documentation practices and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capability to make sound, scalable architectural decisions in a fast-paced environment.
