System Engineer – Platform Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop firmware capabilities that allow for communication with peripherals utilizing protocols such as SPI, I2C, SGPIO, LTPI, PCIe, and other relevant technologies, adhering to chipset specifications and datasheets.

• Work closely with clients to offer technical support, ensuring they comprehend and effectively address platform integration issues. Provide both strategic insight and everyday technical assistance for designated accounts.

• Diagnose intricate technical problems in various customer environments, utilizing broad concepts and innovative problem-solving skills to deliver effective solutions.

• Ensure compliance with security protocols, including secure boot procedures and platform root of trust, to uphold robust system security.

• Integrate Secure AI™ engine solutions into client platforms, supporting systems based on NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD to enhance AI-driven functionalities.

• Create and sustain BMC software for system monitoring, event logging, WebUI, and other critical platform operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in firmware engineering, focusing on embedded systems and platform integration.

• Proficient in C, C++, assembly language, shell scripting, and Python for firmware development tasks.

• In-depth understanding of Linux operating system internals, covering kernel architecture, applications, and inter-process communication.

• Strong expertise in low-level protocols, including I2C, I3C, GPIO, USB, LTPI, SGPIO, UART, and MCTP, eSPI, SSIF.

• Proven ability in BMC porting, with the skill to independently modify BMC solutions for custom hardware and proprietary algorithms.

• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and ARM architecture.

• Extensive knowledge of firmware architecture, including bare-metal programming and security implementations.
