Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design and execute real-time automation controls and information solutions.

• Develop concepts for solutions during the project design stage.

• Program, troubleshoot, and validate systems.

• Produce project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documents, case studies, and additional documentation.

• Deploy new solutions at client locations and pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Formulate methodologies and address complex challenges.

• Acquire knowledge of new technologies.

• Provide mentorship to colleagues in specific areas of expertise.

• Utilize PLC/PAC programming, HMI, SCADA, networking, database, and vision-system tools.

• Collaborate with clients to resolve issues related to manufacturing and industrial information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful or anticipated completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology degree.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience with some or all of the specified technologies.

• Experience in the food and beverage and life sciences industries is preferred.

• Proficiency in PLC/PAC programming, HMI, SCADA, networking, databases, and/or vision systems.

• Detail-oriented, diligent, analytical, focused, self-motivated individual who learns quickly.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.

• Full-time access to a personal vehicle.

• Willingness to travel 30–50% within the USA.

• Familiarity with DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote IO, and Modbus is preferred but not essential.

• Experience with Python, Historian (PI System), and databases is advantageous.
