Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and execute real-time automation controls and information solutions.

• Envision solutions during the design phase of projects.

• Conduct system programming, debugging, and testing activities.

• Produce project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, case studies, and other relevant documentation.

• Commission new solutions at client locations and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.

• Develop methodologies and address complex challenges.

• Acquire and implement new technologies effectively.

• Guide colleagues by sharing subject-matter expertise.

• Create real-time automation solutions that span from the manufacturing floor to the enterprise level.

• Collaborate with clients to resolve manufacturing and industrial information challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful or anticipated completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering Technology degree.

• Academic or practical experience with some or all of the listed technologies.

• Proficiency in PLC and PAC programming, HMI application design, SCADA design, network design, database design, and/or vision system design.

• Detail-oriented, conscientious, analytical, focused, and a self-motivated individual who learns quickly.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Full-time access to a personal vehicle.

• Candidates must reside in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland.

• Willingness to travel up to 30–50% within PA, NJ, NY, DE, and MD.

• The employee will be associated with and report to Grantek’s Allentown, PA office.

• Experience with DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote IO, and Modbus is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Python, Historian (PI System), and databases is advantageous.
