Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services focused on technology and products.

• Provide technical sales assistance for account opportunities.

• Conduct high-level and in-depth technical presentations for clients, prospects, and channel partners.

• Assist with responses to RFI/RFP requests.

• Organize and facilitate Proof of Concept (PoC) activities.

• Design solutions that align with customer needs.

• Act as a specialist within designated virtual teams.

• Contribute to various team initiatives.

• Travel within the country and internationally as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional presentation abilities.

• Proven track record in pre-sales engineering within the industry and territory in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 switching.

• Familiarity with IPv4/v6 routing principles.

• Knowledge of overlay networking and VPN technologies.

• Understanding of Wi-Fi operations and design.

• Awareness of network security fundamentals.

• Practical experience with cloud technologies and cloud-based network management platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of compute and network virtualization concepts is advantageous.

• Familiarity with network management and orchestration software is beneficial.

• Understanding of SD-WAN principles is a plus.

• Experience with automation scripting and APIs is desirable.

• Capability to collaborate as part of customer project teams on design and PoC labs.

• Ability to establish criteria for successful PoCs and contribute to overall solution architecture.

• Persistence and determination.

• Skill in building, developing, and maintaining relationships with customers and partners as a trusted advisor.

• Willingness to take on a team-lead role for the account team when necessary.

• Experience working with partners is advantageous.

• Background in major accounts and closing deals.

• Extreme Networks certifications are preferred but not essential.

• Recognized industry certifications are advantageous.

• Ability to showcase knowledge of emerging trends and market directions.

• Capability to support customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design requirements.

• Strong general hands-on lab experience is essential.
