Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and maintain global IT infrastructure to guarantee system availability, reliability, and operational stability.

• Manage and support Microsoft Windows, Azure, VMware, AWS, and hybrid infrastructure environments.

• Monitor the health of the infrastructure and resolve performance, availability, and capacity issues.

• Handle backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

• Assist in infrastructure lifecycle management, which includes operating system updates, patching, and hardware refreshes.

• Ensure adherence to IT policies and security standards, including vulnerability management, antivirus controls, and operating system updates.

• Perform vulnerability assessments and address findings within the defined service level agreements (SLAs).

• Implement and sustain infrastructure management, monitoring, and automation tools.

• Support infrastructure projects, audits, and business initiatives by leveraging system administration expertise.

• Participate in an on-call rotation after hours and assist with critical incidents as necessary.

• Report directly to the Manager, IT System Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting enterprise IT infrastructure within a professional setting.

• Proficiency in administering Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server and Azure.

• Familiarity with VMware virtualized environments and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.

• Experience in supporting storage technologies, including SAN infrastructure.

• Understanding of infrastructure security, patch management, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.

• Experience working in international and multi-vendor environments.

• Microsoft certification is preferred.

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification is an advantage.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven attention to detail, critical thinking skills, proactive mindset, and a commitment to quality.

• Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
