Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead the definition of system-level requirements, ensuring flow-down and traceability throughout all spacecraft subsystems.

• Develop and uphold the system architecture, guaranteeing coherent interfaces among electrical, mechanical, RF, software, and payload domains.

• Create and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs), system specifications, and verification plans.

• Coordinate technical activities across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with mission-level objectives.

• Assist in trade-off analyses, design reviews, and system-level decision-making throughout the development lifecycle.

• Oversee system-level verification and validation, which includes functional testing, performance assessments, and compliance checks.

• Analyze interactions between subsystems, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to enhance spacecraft reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required experience in the space industry, specifically with direct involvement in spacecraft, satellite systems, or mission-critical space hardware.

• A solid understanding of system engineering processes applicable to complex aerospace platforms.

• Proven experience in defining and managing system-level requirements and interfaces.

• Capability to interpret subsystem documentation, including electrical, mechanical, RF, software, and payload aspects.

• Experience conducting verification and validation activities at the system level.

• Proficient in producing system documentation such as ICDs, specifications, and verification matrices.

• Strong analytical abilities for conducting trade studies, risk analysis, and system-level problem solving.

• Ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
