Systems Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Convert business needs into technical specifications and ensure that system requirements accurately reflect established business processes while supporting functional business needs.

• Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and project team members to convey requirements and enhance or implement systems.

• Represent Rising in meetings with clients and partners regarding system implementations.

• Acquire subject matter expertise on integrations between the company and external systems as well as internal systems.

• Provide production support, investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and report detailed findings.

• Create use cases and process/data flow diagrams.

• Assist with or develop test plans and relevant training materials.

• Review systems to identify enhancements that align with company strategies and key performance indicators.

• Facilitate training sessions for Professional Services team members to ensure knowledge transfer on subject matter.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in a field related to IT.

• At least two years of experience in a business systems analyst role or a similar position.

• Familiarity with workers' compensation insurance, group health insurance, medical bill review, and/or related healthcare industry systems and processes.

• Proven experience in requirements analysis, engaging with business users to define clear scopes, and contributing to cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of applying these skills to resolve application design issues and technical challenges.

• Proficient understanding of database and data modeling tools and concepts.

• Knowledge of business-to-business data transactions and experience in creating detailed mapping instructions for data transfer between different models.

• Experience in analyzing XML or EDI messages.

• Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts to support data analysis efforts.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical information and engage effectively in collaborative meetings with representatives from internal departments and clients.

• Proficiency in using spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing software.

• Capability to process computer data, format it, and generate reports.

• Experience in developing detailed visual models to support requirements, including data flow/workflow diagrams.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines.

• Ability to quantify results in terms of cost savings and key performance indicators.

• A demonstrated history of proactively identifying opportunities for improvement in systems and methodologies.
