This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Continuously monitor servers, services, and applications with Zabbix, tracking alerts related to CPU, memory, disk usage, network performance, and overall availability.
• Address tickets of varying complexities—low, medium, high, and critical—pertaining to operating systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Execute operational tasks in Windows Server environments, which include managing resources, users, permissions, services, logs, and updates.
• Conduct operational tasks in Linux/Unix environments by executing basic commands, performing initial resource usage analysis, and verifying service status.
• Carry out initial troubleshooting of incidents such as service interruptions, sluggish environments, access failures, and excessive resource consumption.
• Assist in the administration of virtualized environments by creating, modifying, and restarting virtual machines within VMware or Hyper-V.
• Implement operational routines in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud), which encompass:
• - Creating and managing instances at a basic level.
• - Managing access control, users, and permissions.
• - Restarting resources as necessary.
• - Conducting initial failure analyses.
• Support infrastructure activities by performing connectivity checks and managing network services such as DNS and TCP/IP.
• Execute operational routines, including:
• - Applying patches and updates.
• - Conducting basic backup and restore procedures.
• - Maintaining an inventory of servers and resources.
• - Installing and validating monitoring agents and operational tools.
• Document all activities performed, adhering to established procedures, operational standards, and best practices.
• Escalate incidents as required, ensuring that an initial analysis has been conducted and that information is accurately recorded.
• Completed technical training in IT or currently pursuing university studies in Information Technology, Networks, Systems, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of Windows Server administration, including the management of CPU, memory, disk, users, services, and permissions.
• Fundamental knowledge of Linux, including command execution, directory navigation, basic management, and resource analysis.
• Basic familiarity with monitoring tools, preferably Zabbix.
• Ability to interpret alerts regarding CPU, memory, disk usage, availability, and services.
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, and connectivity.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Basic understanding of Active Directory, encompassing users, groups, and permissions.
• Awareness of the operations of cloud environments (IaaS).
• Initial experience, internship, or previous work in infrastructure, technical support, NOC, or IT operations.
• Capability to adhere to operational procedures and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Desirable:
• - Exposure to or knowledge of Unix environments.
• - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
• - Basic understanding of backup and restore processes.
• - Familiarity with monitoring and operational automation tools.
