Linux Systems Administrator – AIML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee, monitor, and sustain Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux servers in both production and staging environments.

• Conduct system upgrades, kernel modifications, patch management, and performance optimization.

• Establish and manage user access, enforce security policies, and implement backup/recovery protocols.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, and network-related issues.

• Maintain configuration management and deployment pipelines utilizing tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or equivalent.

• Monitor system health and resource usage to ensure maximum uptime and performance efficiency.

• Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams for provisioning environments (AWS, Azure, or on-premises).

• Manage server hardening, SSH configurations, SSL certificates, and adhere to OS-level security compliance.

• Engage in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and incident response initiatives.

• Produce and uphold comprehensive system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and audit reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Ubuntu and Red Hat.

• Proficient in Bash scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Shell, or foundational Python).

• Familiar with monitoring solutions like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.

• Strong grasp of networking principles, including DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, and firewalls.

• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware, KVM, Docker, etc.

• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities involving system logs, kernel issues, and service failures.

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipeline methodologies.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

• Outstanding documentation and communication abilities; capable of supporting global teams.
