This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Establish, maintain, and oversee computer systems throughout the organization.
• Install, set up, and upgrade operating systems on both servers and workstations.
• Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter servers.
• Provide initial technical support through phone, email, or helpdesk systems.
• Administer user accounts and permissions effectively.
• Apply necessary software updates and patches.
• Implement and oversee data backup procedures.
• Ensure the maintenance and security of the network infrastructure.
• Configure, manage, and monitor Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments.
• Assist users in optimizing organization-specific applications.
• Occasionally travel to support three office locations on distinct networks.
• Carry out other related tasks as assigned by the IT Manager.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (Required).
• 2-4 years of prior experience in a systems administrator role (Required).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Windows 10/Windows 11 (Required).
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, and Linux (Required).
• Familiar with VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V (Required).
• Expertise in Active Directory (Required).
• Understanding of network protocols and network topology (Required).
• Skilled in administering Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments (Required).
• Competent with MS Office 365 applications (Required).
• Basic knowledge of Firewall/VPN concepts (Required).
• Experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services / Terminal Server (Required).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and log analysis (Required).
• Understanding of disk, memory, and CPU hardware components (Required).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent time management skills and capacity to prioritize tasks and manage projects effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Capacity to excel in a remote work environment with minimal oversight.
• Microsoft Certification (Preferred).
• Experience in a healthcare/laboratory environment (Preferred).
• Fully remote work from home.
• Occasional travel support to DBM office, laboratory, and hospital locations in North Carolina and South Carolina.
