This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serves as a technical leader
• Accountable for the complete design, development, and execution of protective relay settings and coordination studies
• Plans, organizes, executes, and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project tasks
• Conducts short-circuit and symmetrical component analysis, time-current coordination, step-distance coordination, and the development and coordination of relay settings
• Creates test plans, provides commissioning support, and conducts protection system event analysis and troubleshooting
• Responsible for the formulation of NERC PRC compliance reports
• Offers technical direction to fellow engineers
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory
• PE License or the capability to acquire it within one year is required
• A minimum of 4 years of engineering experience is necessary
• Demonstrated proficiency in system modeling and fault analysis software (ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, or EasyPower)
• Skilled in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
• Extensive knowledge of system modeling, relay coordination studies, and the development of related protective relay settings for systems ranging from 12.47 kV to 345 kV
• Familiarity with the application of NERC PRC standards for compliance
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one before the start date
