This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement customer environments and configure software with a lead time of 24 hours.

• Drive operational results in line with department SLA, cost, and automation objectives.

• Execute environment updates, migrations, and software upgrades.

• Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve availability issues in customer environments.

• Manage daily service reliability according to defined SLOs by monitoring key operational metrics, addressing alerts, and contributing to availability goals.

• Seek out automation and process improvement opportunities.

• Engage in on-call rotations, respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.

• Communicate effectively during incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews, providing clear written summaries for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Identify and leverage cost optimization opportunities within Azure, supporting departmental FinOps and unit economic objectives.

• Provide outstanding customer service and technical support, ensuring high satisfaction levels.

• Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles.

• Analyze trends to identify areas for operational and security posture improvement.

• Implement necessary changes to maintain compliance certification.

• Support internal infrastructure projects, ensuring smooth execution and integration.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in cloud operations and infrastructure engineering.

• Certifications: AZ-104 Azure Administrator or demonstrate equivalent competency in Azure administration.

• Experience in managing patching and patch management processes within Microsoft Azure environments.

• Familiarity with supporting government cloud environments or clients in the government sector.

• Proficient in technologies, tools, and concepts such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2022, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Skills in automating processes using PowerShell, Azure PowerShell Modules, REST APIs, Terraform, or ARM Templates.

• Exposure to orchestration tools (Terraform, ArgoCD, Ansible, Kubernetes platforms, Azure Pipelines).

• Proficient in identity management using Azure Entra ID, Okta, OpenID Connect, SAML.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot), including the ability to evaluate, validate, and operationalize outputs generated by these tools.

• Understanding of high-availability application architectures, utilizing traffic management and load-balancing strategies to ensure resilience, fault tolerance, and minimal service disruption.
