SW Test Development Engineer – Level 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain automated testing solutions for both backend and UI of web applications.

• Design and develop APIs and service endpoints that facilitate automated updates for web portals, notifications, reporting, and documentation generation.

• Establish integrations among Jira, TestRail, Slack, GitHub, Datadog, and various other enterprise tools.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uncover opportunities for automation and continuous process enhancements.

• Assess and monitor the effectiveness of automation, return on investment (ROI), and quality metrics.

• Collaborate with Software Development, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Product Owners, and Regulatory teams to outline project scope and deliver top-notch solutions.

• Improve validation frameworks and testing infrastructure that support Dexcom’s software portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in programming with object-oriented languages, preferably Python.

• Experience in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and test suites for web applications.

• Skilled in integrating Jira, TestRail, GitHub, databases, web portals, and cloud-based services.

• Familiarity with automated testing in CI/CD environments, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Basic knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud Platform, covering compute, storage, authentication, and application deployment services.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical teams.

• Dedication to software quality, continuous improvement, and dependable solutions in a regulated setting.

• Willingness to travel 0–5%.
