This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and drive Toptal’s vision and execution for its product and platform.

• Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer while being part of the executive team.

• Collaborate with leaders in Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, New Businesses, Professional Services, and Customer Relations.

• Lead Toptal’s AI product strategy encompassing marketplace, talent, client experiences, internal systems, and go-to-market offerings.

• Determine the strategy for building versus buying AI solutions, model and tooling selections, along with pricing and packaging for AI-enabled products.

• Establish AI evaluation criteria, acceptance thresholds, and review processes in conjunction with Engineering.

• Revamp product workflows utilizing AI-assisted discovery, research, prototyping, and analysis techniques.

• Develop and manage the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the entire product portfolio.

• Set up the product operating model, planning cycles, prioritization frameworks, and key performance metrics.

• Oversee the integration of acquisitions and new product launches.

• Serve as a senior representative of customer insights for both talent and clients.

• Define the structure of the product team, including resource allocation, workforce planning, and hiring standards.

• Review product initiatives directly, mentor team members, and elevate organizational standards.

• Evaluate the capabilities of the Product organization and assess its AI maturity.

• Present product strategy, resource plans, investment priorities, and recommendations for deprioritization to the executive team.

• Launch and evaluate AI-enabled functionalities in production environments.

• Illustrate the business impact of AI-enabled products across core offerings.

• Build and lead a top-tier, AI-native product organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, ideally in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

• A minimum of 15 years of demonstrable experience in software Product Management.

• At least 8 years of experience in leadership roles within Product organizations, including managing other product leaders.

• Proven track record of enhancing a product organization through effective hiring and development.

• Demonstrated ownership of resource allocation and workforce planning, with measurable hiring results.

• Experience managing an entire product portfolio within a fast-growing technology company.

• Proven success in establishing executive-level product strategies and translating them into multi-team roadmaps.

• Experience leading AI-enabled products that yield measurable business outcomes.

• In-depth knowledge of agentic architectures, harness and orchestration design, retrieval, context engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation, and production model economics.

• Proven experience in delivering modern AI product capabilities.

• Familiarity with growth marketing principles covering acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention.

• Experience with marketplace, platform, or two-sided business models is highly advantageous.

• Prior experience in Software Engineering is a significant plus.

• Comfortable with SQL or spreadsheets for data analysis and conducting user research.

• Ability to create data-driven, user-centric solutions.

• Maintain a high quality standard for user stories, technical methodologies, and feature testing.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiar with agile development methodologies and experience with globally distributed teams.

• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment while managing diverse challenges and timelines.
