This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Develop and implement the comprehensive People Operations strategy, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives to support business expansion and transformation.
• Act as a strategic partner and reliable advisor to the CEO, COO, and the wider Executive Leadership Team on all aspects of talent management, company culture, organizational structure, and change management.
• Collaborate with the Finance department on workforce planning and headcount strategies, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and budgetary targets.
• Lead the people-related efforts during M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration—conducting cultural assessments, organizational design, retention strategies, program harmonization, and change management initiatives.
• Create a robust HR metrics and analytics framework, providing insights that facilitate data-driven decisions at all leadership levels.
• Guide and mentor the People Operations team—comprising People Business Partners, Generalists, and specialists in Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and HRIS—while closely collaborating with Payroll in Accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and refine the People Operations Team Charter, objectives, and operational rhythm; oversee resource allocation, budgeting, milestones, and risk management.
• Establish, document, and continuously enhance standard operating procedures across all People Operations functions, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations in People Operations, including necessary regulatory and compliance reporting, in collaboration with internal and external legal advisors.
• Manage Total Rewards, including compensation philosophy, structure, and administration; spearhead the Benefits strategy and programs to ensure competitive, cost-effective offerings aligned with business objectives.
• Embed company culture through systematic approaches, rituals, and feedback mechanisms—enhancing employee engagement, recognition, and connectivity within a distributed workforce.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on talent management, performance issues, organizational structure, and complex employee relations challenges.
• Promote an inclusive workplace where every employee feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to perform at their best.
• Collaborate with leadership to design teams and roles that can scale with the business, offering insights on capability gaps and succession planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in HR leadership within a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and performance-driven environment.
• Proven experience in setting strategic direction for the HR function and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated success in operating both strategically and tactically; capable of crafting a vision and executing it personally.
• Extensive experience in influencing across a complex, cross-functional organization, including building effective relationships with all stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and commercial insight - understanding how strategies translate into outcomes, and how People decisions affect the bottom line.
• Proven ability to build trust at scale—with executives, managers, and individual contributors—through consistency, transparency, and sound judgment.
• Demonstrated capability to manage the People Operations budget and other key financial metrics for the function.
• Advanced technological proficiency; comfortable with modern HRIS, ATS, people analytics, and AI tools.
• Experience leading the people component in M&A due diligence and integration is highly desirable.
