• Formulate and implement detailed multi-year account strategies that align with corporate goals.
• Take ownership of and enhance account plans for both existing and prospective high-value clients.
• Propel revenue growth, retention, satisfaction, and expansion within designated accounts.
• Recognize, develop, and secure new opportunities within current accounts.
• Actively create entry strategies for potential key clients within the designated territory.
• Forge and sustain relationships at the executive level, including scientific C-suite stakeholders.
• Lead Joint Steering Committees and conduct Quarterly Joint Business Reviews.
• Establish operational success metrics for each account and monitor value realization.
• Oversee renewal and expansion efforts based on performance and strategic alignment.
• Shape pipeline opportunities within accounts, encompassing upsell, cross-sell, new site initiatives, and therapeutic area expansion.
• Perform whitespace analysis and conduct semiannual account tiering assessments.
• Balance ambitious growth targets with practical delivery capabilities and margin discipline.
• Coordinate across R&D, Operations, Legal, Finance, and other support functions from opportunity identification to delivery.
• Ensure smooth execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Track performance against plans and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Employ disciplined qualification and early-stage filtering to exclude non-promising opportunities.
• Preferred medical or scientific background; alternatively, significant business experience within CRO, CDMO, or biopharma sectors.
• Multiple years of relevant industry experience.
• Extensive experience managing large strategic accounts at the executive level.
• Proven success in enterprise-level key account management and developing new customer relationships.
• Demonstrated experience in orchestrating complex deals involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in drug discovery and pre-clinical development processes.
• In-depth knowledge of precision medicine platforms and competitive market dynamics.
• Capability to design and implement long-term account strategies that align with corporate objectives.
• Exceptional commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Ability to balance growth ambitions with operational feasibility and margin discipline.
