• Act as the primary client and strategic leader for one of dentsu’s largest accounts, serving as the key liaison and trusted advisor to senior client leadership.
• Develop and implement integrated solutions across dentsu's capabilities (media and beyond) to enhance client impact, value, and agency growth.
• Advocate for and deeply understand the client's business and industry, utilizing this insight to transform client challenges into strategic media directions and opportunities that provide a competitive edge.
• Establish and nurture a high-performing team that attracts top talent by fostering a culture of accountability, client focus, compassion, and excellence.
• Cultivate collaborative and trusted relationships within matrixed environments, engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders while staying attuned to dynamics that reveal risks and opportunities.
• Oversee the P&L, making sound commercial decisions autonomously, managing contract development and negotiations, and optimizing staff plans.
• Drive operational excellence across all functions, strategically addressing people, processes, and technology needs—including AI—to enhance operational efficiency and collaboration.
• Tackle challenging problems and engage in difficult conversations—both internally and with clients.
• Accurately represent the client's perspective when reviewing work, leveraging this viewpoint and strong communication skills to create clear, compelling, and persuasive storytelling and presentations for clients.
• Manage and mentor team members from Director to VP level, actively supporting their coaching and career development.
• Hold teams accountable to dentsu’s principles and standards, aligning executive management's viewpoints with the practical realities of the account’s daily operations.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in relevant fields such as leading large-scale, complex regional or global client relationships, strategic media planning, and/or communications strategy.
• Significant retail experience with a proven capability to adapt quickly to the retail pace, understand omnichannel shopping behaviors and strategies, and leverage rich customer data to drive effective strategies.
• Extensive knowledge and experience across multiple communication channels and their roles in marketing, encompassing both traditional and digital media channels, as well as national and local media.
• Profound knowledge and experience in utilizing data, technology, identity, and advanced measurement solutions to create data-driven, high-performing integrated marketing plans.
• Demonstrates mental agility to adapt to the fast pace of business—priorities frequently change, and flexibility beyond core competencies is essential.
• Proven strategic thinking ability, combining analytical and creative approaches, and the capability to teach others to think strategically and tackle complex problems.
• Proactive storyteller and collaborator, skilled at persuading and positively influencing diverse groups of team members and clients to achieve desired results.
• Charismatic presence in presentations and communications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change within complex organizations and implement new operational models across various marketing disciplines and/or markets.
• Strong commercial and strategic insight, with a history of delivering significant business impact.
• Proven leadership skills—experience in managing, motivating, and developing large teams, including establishing an inspiring vision and clear goals that empower employees to achieve success and grow.
