Sustainability Affairs Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and verify product sustainability metrics utilized in retail materials and product detail pages, adhering to prescribed guidelines and reference materials.

• Assist in EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) reporting by gathering data and developing or fulfilling California’s ISR (Individual Source Reduction) requirements.

• Contribute to the B Corp gap assessment and prepare for the upcoming recertification cycle.

• Offer sustainability insights for monthly and quarterly Stage Gate updates.

• Report on the carbon impact of ongoing projects.

• Monitor progress against Science Aligned Targets using quarterly footprint metrics.

• Provide updates on carbon-reduction initiatives.

• Report directly to the Chief Innovation Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, public policy, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, compliance, or a related area.

• Familiarity with environmental reporting and compliance frameworks.

• Strongly preferred: Knowledge of packaging EPR and California source-reduction regulations.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting B Corp certification, recertification, or completion of the B Impact Assessment.

• Knowledge of corporate greenhouse gas accounting, carbon-reduction objectives, and communicating project-specific carbon impacts.

• Excellent analytical capabilities.

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, including data validation, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining supporting documentation.

• Ability to work autonomously based on established processes and documentation with minimal onboarding time.

• Exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy, organization, and follow-through.

• Must be able to work remotely from within the United States.
