This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop work plans, organize project teams, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to scope and timely completion.
• Set deadlines, allocate responsibilities, and track and summarize project progress.
• Manage personnel, generate proposals, and drive business development.
• Oversee and assist in scheduling fieldwork while maintaining the field calendar.
• Review and evaluate the outcomes of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and structures.
• Accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
• Validate field survey data accuracy, including the measurements and calculations performed at survey sites. Conduct mathematical computations and verify field data.
• Capable of conducting deed and utility research and compiling record information such as record maps, legal descriptions, utility details, and right-of-way data.
• Assist in business development and the preparation of contracts.
• Participate in scoping, risk assessment, and pricing of remediation projects.
• Manage and approve leave requests and schedule accordingly. Review timesheets for billing accuracy and approve through accounting software.
• Handle multiple vendors for the procurement of field supplies and tools.
• Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects.
• Coordinate with other survey project managers and field coordinators regarding workload and scheduling requirements.
• Collaborate with project team members, including licensed surveyors, engineers, and technical and survey staff.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is essential.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management and land surveying.
• At least two years of experience in field management.
• CSIT certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in CADD Drawing and Survey Computation.
• Previous experience in a Surveying or Civil Engineering environment.
• Experience with Carlson Civil Suites and IntelliCAD is required.
