Fire Protection Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee the fire protection aspects of prominent hyperscale data center, mission-critical, federal, and industrial initiatives.

• Collaborate with other design team members on technical deliverables.

• Execute cutting-edge fire protection designs for diverse projects.

• Conduct engineering calculations and analyses utilizing available software.

• Assist in developing 3D fire protection designs using Autodesk Revit.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and fire protection design personnel.

• Navigate and prioritize tasks amid intricate delivery schedules and overlapping projects.

• Work in partnership with both internal and external team members.

• Support the Nashville, TN office and various projects nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, consulting, or construction.

• Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, engineering technology, or a related ABET-accredited program.

• Familiarity with fire protection design principles applicable to building construction.

• Experience with NFPA, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs), and relevant building codes/standards such as IBC and SBC.

• Expertise in fire protection design.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.

• Understanding of BIM workflows related to fire protection engineering and design.

• Capability to provide technical guidance to junior engineers and fire protection design staff.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management abilities.

• Capacity to prioritize tasks amidst complex and overlapping project timelines.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

• Professional Engineering license is not mandatory.
