Project Manager – Central Laboratory Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee both new and ongoing CRO laboratory initiatives encompassing assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management, logistics, and kitting for client studies.

• Supervise specific protocols and ensure overall project effectiveness and client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects.

• Direct projects from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and control of scope and costs.

• Develop and oversee project timelines, budgets, revenue targets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans.

• Manage daily operations and oversee scheduled activities while delegating responsibilities as needed.

• Act as the client-facing partner to lead the execution of new and ongoing studies.

• Facilitate the development and execution of new projects.

• Maintain communication with clients and collaborators concerning data management, inventory oversight, and shipping protocols.

• Organize data collection and prepare/present project updates, reports, and correspondence.

• Monitor project revenue, costs, client billing, budgets, and any unexpected discrepancies.

• Generate, monitor, and report on project and business metrics.

• Recognize out-of-scope tasks and escalate findings along with action plans.

• Review and enhance project documentation to achieve approvable status.

• Evaluate and mitigate technical, project, and business-related risks.

• Ensure compliance with design and performance benchmarks, regulatory standards, and client requirements.

• Identify and tackle operational challenges, adjust priorities to meet deadlines, and fulfill additional project and departmental responsibilities.

• Provide internal project management consultancy, identify process efficiency enhancements, prepare procedural documentation, and mentor junior Project Managers.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a life science or a related discipline, such as engineering.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in Central Laboratories for a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech organization.

• Outstanding listening and communication abilities.

• Proficient computer skills, with experience in MS Office/MS 365 applications.

• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking capabilities.

• High emotional intelligence.

• Strong grasp of project management principles and data analysis techniques.

• Robust critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving proficiencies.

• Exceptional research and reporting skills.

• Excellent judgment and discretion.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English fluently.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10–25% of the time.

• Flexibility for extended working hours as needed to meet business demands.
