This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Contribute to sales growth by fostering strong customer relationships and promoting our Phaco and VitRet equipment.
• Collaborate closely with Account Managers throughout the demonstration and closing phases, conducting demos with the assistance of Technical Service.
• Deliver comprehensive support for cataract and Vit-Ret customers within designated accounts.
• Actively participate in demand generation and engage in contract negotiations.
• Gather insights from the current customer landscape and translate this knowledge into effective commercial strategies.
• Utilize a consultative sales approach to align with customers, ensuring Alcon products and services meet both customer and patient needs.
• Initiate and facilitate local events to address customer requirements.
• Coordinate with expert roles to gain in-depth technical and clinical knowledge.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, science, or business.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles within surgical settings or other sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of both the Phaco and VitRet product lines.
• Proven ability to proactively seek new leads, particularly through competitive conversions.
• Capacity to effectively articulate the advantages of AVS connectivity at a high level.
• Skills in providing commercial solutions, including EFAs, bundles, and rentals.
• Experience in sales within the medical devices and/or pharmaceutical sectors, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Background in consultative selling within B2B environments (ideally high-end medical devices).
• Capability to collaborate efficiently across functions within a matrix organization.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both technical and interpersonal.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, along with commercial insight and sales acumen.
• General knowledge of surgical techniques, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and optics.
• Customer-focused mindset with robust customer relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with CRM applications (such as Salesforce) for relationship management and account planning is preferred.
