This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform regular coding audits across designated specialties and client accounts, assessing clinical documentation and coded encounters for precision, documentation consistency, and adherence to compliance standards.

• Implement ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifier guidelines, and payer-specific requirements in audit evaluations, referencing authoritative sources.

• Fulfill assigned audit volumes in accordance with turnaround expectations and quality benchmarks.

• Refer complex or ambiguous coding situations to the Senior Coding Auditor.

• Record audit findings, discrepancies, root causes, and corrective recommendations.

• Generate individual audit reports and summary submissions.

• Keep thorough audit records and files.

• Aggregate audit data for trend analysis and reporting purposes.

• Share findings with audited coders and facilitate education driven by audit results.

• Aid in re-audits to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.

• Recognize patterns and report insights to audit leadership.

• Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer updates, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify potential compliance risks and assist with audit preparedness activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• 0-2 years of experience in physician collections, accounts receivable follow-up, and denial management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Capability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Experience with reporting and data analysis tools is preferred.
