Supply Chain Manager – Electro-Mechanical, New Product Introduction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary supply chain representative for New Product Development within the Semiconductor Atmospheric Automation Product Development Team.

• Take ownership of new product material costs, including monitoring cost drivers and changes.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Commodity Managers, and Suppliers to formulate optimal material strategies, enhance the supply base, and achieve the lowest total acquisition cost.

• Oversee new product launches through Brooks Product Life-Cycle Phase/Gates and necessary PLM and ERP systems.

• Manage material requirements for both new and existing products throughout project lifecycle deliverables.

• Monitor and coordinate program supply chain deliverables, assess program risks, and create mitigation strategies.

• Provide regular updates on program status.

• Identify and address long-term supply chain risks associated with new designs.

• Manage material flow in accordance with project requirements, including evaluating supplier capacity and capabilities.

• Assist in timely line fill and optimize inventory levels.

• Offer technical support for DFx, review engineering modifications, and evaluate materials and supply chain impacts.

• Engage with suppliers to fulfill NPI deliverables and oversee supplier relationships and performance.

• Propel process enhancements across product development and supply chain operations.

• Be prepared for occasional travel, up to 20%, including international trips.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Purchasing, or a related technical field.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Commodity Management and/or Sourcing within an electro-mechanical manufacturing setting.

• Over 3 years of experience in Program Management for New Product Introduction (NPI) through development and product life-cycle processes.

• Strong expertise in mechanical commodities such as sheet metal, precision machining, welding, plastics, injection molding, casting, and brazing.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, drawings, blueprints, product specifications, material tolerances, and finish specifications.

• Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical industry workmanship standards.

• Experience with international purchasing and sourcing practices.

• Ability to collaborate with teams across different geographical locations.

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Customer-oriented and self-driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

• Capable of advancing initiatives and programs despite initially ambiguous definitions.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.

• Project/Program Management training or certification is highly preferred.

• Lean Six-Sigma training or certification is highly desirable.

• Experience and knowledge in semiconductor equipment manufacturing are highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with a supply base in Southeast Asia is preferred.
