This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Create and sustain both top-down and bottom-up demand forecasts for weekly, monthly, and seasonal timeframes.
• Evaluate historical sales data, trends, demand influencers, as well as category, SKU, and regional performance to uncover risks and opportunities.
• Conduct in-season reforecasting, track forecast accuracy, and perform root-cause analysis on forecast discrepancies.
• Ensure alignment of demand forecasts with sales, margin, inventory, open-to-buy, and financial objectives.
• Recognize over/under-bought risks and propose corrective measures.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Finance to collect inputs and relay forecast updates, risks, and opportunities.
• Integrate product launches and lifecycle changes into forecasting efforts.
• Assist in assortment planning, product performance evaluation, and strategy testing.
• Leverage demand planning systems, ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, and BI tools to provide reporting and actionable insights.
• Uphold data integrity and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of demand planning and S&OP/demand review processes.
• Handle multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
• Primarily engage in a sedentary role utilizing a computer, with occasional walking and standing; some extended hours and limited travel may be anticipated.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management.
• Proficiency in using forecasting tools, data analysis, and reporting techniques.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with the ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Detail-oriented mindset toward planning and analysis.
• Experience in a retail, omnichannel, or consumer goods sector.
• Familiarity with S&OP / Integrated Business Planning processes.
• Experience with Power BI, ERP systems, or demand planning software.
• Strong business insight and understanding of cross-functional effects on demand and inventory.
• Full-time availability; occasional extended hours may be necessary.
• Limited travel may be necessary.
