Supply Chain Manager – AI Focus

📋 Description

• Strategic AI integration: You will identify and evaluate opportunities for AI applications throughout our entire supply chain, from demand forecasting and inventory optimization to transport control, while creating implementation roadmaps.

• Data-driven optimization: Utilizing AI tools and models, you will analyze intricate logistics data to generate more precise forecasts, dynamically optimize transport routes, and proactively identify potential supply chain risks.

• Process innovation: You will challenge current logistics processes and redesign them using AI and automation, significantly enhancing efficiency, transparency, and sustainability, such as reducing CO2 emissions.

• System orchestration: Collaborating closely with IT, data science, and operations teams, you will implement and validate AI solutions to ensure their effective operation.

• You will manage the interfaces between various systems, including ERP, WMS, TMS, and AI platforms.

• Development of digital twins: You will spearhead the creation of digital replicas of our supply chain to simulate scenarios, conduct stress tests, and inform strategic decisions based on data insights.

• Knowledge transfer & change management: Acting as our internal ambassador for AI in logistics, you will clearly explain complex relationships and support colleagues in adopting and utilizing new data-driven processes.

• Risk and resilience management: You will employ AI to proactively pinpoint vulnerabilities in the supply chain and devise strategies to bolster resilience against disruptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid SCM/logistics expertise: You possess a robust foundation in supply chain management or logistics, supported by a degree in logistics, SCM, business administration, industrial engineering, or equivalent education/experience.

• Strong analytical skills & data affinity: You enjoy engaging with data, identifying patterns, and addressing complex problems in a systematic manner.

• Initial experience with analysis tools (BI, Excel) or even scripting (e.g., Python) is highly advantageous.

• Enthusiasm for AI & technology: You are eager to explore the potentials of AI and machine learning within the logistics context and ideally have some initial exposure to AI applications or concepts.

• Process thinking & drive for optimization: You think in terms of end-to-end processes and are continuously looking for ways to enhance operational efficiency and intelligence.

• Communication skills & persuasiveness: You can clearly articulate complex technical and analytical concepts and engage stakeholders at various levels to gain support for new solution approaches.

• Initiative & drive to shape things: You proactively identify areas for improvement and actively work towards their implementation.

• Willingness to learn & curiosity: You are committed to continually exploring the rapidly evolving fields of AI and digital logistics.
