Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and authorize data packages, shipping documents, inspection records, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with customer, contractual, and regulatory standards.

• Examine quality trends and probe into nonconformances.

• Assist in corrective and preventive action initiatives to enhance product and process performance.

• Create inspection plans and offer technical guidance to inspection personnel regarding product acceptance criteria, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.

• Conduct and facilitate customer audits, source inspections, supplier quality evaluations, and quality management system audits.

• Execute advanced inspection tasks and aid in the inspection of complex assemblies, machined components, fabricated products, and electronic hardware.

• Act as a knowledgeable quality resource across development, production, testing, supplier, and customer quality operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma, technical certification, Associate degree, or equivalent experience.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Generally 4–6 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, manufacturing, or technical quality.

• Expertise in interpreting intricate engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and process plans.

• Experience in conducting audits and supporting customer quality initiatives.

• Inter-Process Commission (IPC) 610 certification is preferred.

• Strong comprehension of quality management systems and industry standards such as AS 9100 or ISO 9001.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• The position may necessitate exposure to export-controlled information and additional security screening.

• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information when necessary.
