This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Serve as a liaison between the funds and their investment managers, acting as the official record keeper for the funds.
• Price and maintain accurate records for hedge and private equity holdings utilizing various external pricing resources.
• Conduct timely reconciliations related to Net Asset Values and generate accounting reports.
• Communicate the transactions associated with the fund(s) and collaborate closely with both internal and external clients to deliver precise and comprehensive accounting packages.
• Coordinate and assist with various year-end audit engagements following GAAP accounting standards.
• Perform due diligence to ensure clients adhere to government laws and regulations.
• Train and oversee the accounting analysts on systems, processes, procedures, and their job responsibilities.
• Support the management of a team environment that promotes self-motivation, organization, and the drive to complete multiple client deliverables promptly without compromising excellence or quality.
• Liaise with external investment managers regarding daily fund inquiries, including reconciliations, coordinating scheduled deliverables, and addressing escalation concerns.
• Assist the manager in conducting performance evaluations, monthly one-on-ones with team analysts, and providing guidance on career development and training.
• Participate in analyst interviews to ensure staffing requirements are fulfilled.
• Collaborate to create and nurture a supportive team environment.
• BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in the fund services industry, with a preference for alternatives experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Self-motivated, organized, and driven to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing quality or excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will primarily support clients through email and/or phone calls.
• Strong customer service skills, as daily communication with clients and other service providers is essential.
