This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee staff performance and quality, addressing any training or performance issues as needed.
• Conduct chairside assistance for colleagues.
• Perform routine audits on account activity quality to ensure proper handling of accounts.
• Work collaboratively with leadership and training teams to develop necessary training plans aimed at fostering a best practice team.
• Provide support and resolutions to inquiries from internal business partners.
• Generate reports or logs as required.
• Review the quality of work.
• Serve as a technical expert on denials and payer policies, addressing questions from team members.
• Keep up to date with all healthcare-related issues and regulations.
• Report any identified trends and procedural issues to internal leadership as appropriate.
• Uphold a professional demeanor at all times.
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• Analyze and resolve problems promptly and thoroughly.
• Set realistic goals and priorities that align with organizational objectives.
• Lead daily huddles and weekly staff meetings to promote continuous process improvement and enhance staff project knowledge.
• Fill in for any job openings as necessary.
• Approve timecards, manage colleague PTO requests, and oversee payroll approvals.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare insurance billing and denials, with direct interaction with government or commercial insurance payers.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven ability to thrive in a team environment that demands quick turnaround and high-quality output.
• Capacity to facilitate and influence decisions by inspiring others to excel in both the quality of their work and their teamwork approach.
• Established subject matter expertise in insurance company practices related to reimbursement, with the capacity to translate knowledge into effective training that supports performance excellence.
• Ability to cultivate and manage relationships with colleagues.
• Demonstrated proficiency in navigating Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office.
• Solid knowledge and experience with governmental, legal, and regulatory provisions concerning billing and collection activities.
