This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Panama.
• Oversee a dynamic portfolio of customer accounts.
• Reach out to clients with overdue balances to secure payments, commitments, and follow up on payment agreements.
• Achieve or surpass collection targets, which include contacting 90% of accounts and maintaining an 85% current portfolio balance.
• Report any disputed or underpaid invoices, identify underlying issues, and work with clients or internal teams to expedite resolution and payment.
• Elevate significant collection challenges to Management for additional support or attention.
• Assist the Cash Applications team in resolving discrepancies in payment applications and ensure timely adjustments.
• Contribute to and enhance accounts receivable lean process improvements.
• Draft proposals for agency placements and write-offs for bad debts.
• Execute manual/custom invoicing, reconcile outstanding balances, and compile periodic accounts receivable and past-due status reports.
• Collaborate with Cash Applications regarding cash receipts, Credit Notes and Refunds, Prepaid Order releases, Bank Reconciliation, and bank disputes.
• Engage in collection activities, including follow-up inquiries, negotiations for repayment terms, escalations, and considerations for write-offs.
• High school diploma.
• A degree in Accounting or Finance is advantageous.
• At least one year of experience in accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Office and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational abilities.
• Previous experience with Oracle and SFDC is preferred.
• Familiarity with Accounting and Finance processes and procedures is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of collections practices is preferred.
