This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a large volume of high-risk and escalated accounts, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Investigate, analyze, and address intricate billing, payment, eligibility, and reconciliation issues.
• Manage overdue accounts and facilitate dispute resolution processes.
• Provide guidance to Collections team members on challenging account scenarios and effective practices.
• Evaluate delinquency patterns and recurring challenges to determine underlying causes.
• Collaborate with Billing, Cash Application, Client Services, Account Management, and various internal teams.
• Track collection effectiveness and aging trends.
• Assist in optimizing workflows and enhancing process improvement initiatives.
• Keep a record of collection activities, dispute investigations, resolutions, and customer communications.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in managing complex accounts.
• Strong analytical skills and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with intermediate Excel skills: VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Pivot Tables.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Experience with accounts receivable systems.
• Capacity to learn and navigate various systems and databases.
• Reliable internet service to support essential duties, with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload while connected via a wired connection and not using a VPN.
• Preferred: experience in vision, dental, healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration.
• Preferred: experience with premium, membership, or group insurance billing processes.
• Preferred: background in ERP, billing, CRM, or insurance administration systems.
• Preferred: experience in supporting commercial groups, government accounts, municipalities, schools, or retiree programs.
• Preferred: exposure to process improvement, automation, or workflow optimization projects.
• Preferred: knowledge of audit support and internal controls.
