This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify, resolve, and enhance Accounts Receivable challenges utilizing claim expertise, research, and analytical thinking.
• Engage with, consult, and influence cross-functional partners to drive service enhancements and reduce contract interpretation discrepancies.
• Lead trending root-cause analysis related to Accounts Receivable resolutions.
• Oversee investigations into system-related issues and determine suitable business operations solutions.
• Manage escalated issues using appropriate workflow tools.
• Communicate suggestions for changes identified through root-cause analysis.
• Educate and inform internal partners about issues and trends to reduce errors and enhance claim accuracy.
• Evaluate how contract configurations, business policies, and technology impact claim payments.
• Attend meetings as a Claims Subject Matter Expert.
• Provide training on Accounts Receivable processes to internal partners.
• Participate in or lead special project initiatives.
• Meet or surpass Service Level Agreements.
• An Associate's Degree or higher is strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in claims processing is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in claims administration is highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Proclaim and Facets is required.
• Advanced knowledge of additional Cigna claim processing systems is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of current claim business practices, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to connect claim business knowledge with technology and claim payment outcomes.
• Capability to navigate various business units to identify root causes.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including basic formulas, VLOOKUPs, filtering, and formatting.
• Skills in time management, task analysis, and resource utilization.
• Understanding of how results impact provider satisfaction.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Capacity to take ownership of tasks and projects while working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to comprehend the complete claims payment process and its influence on provider satisfaction.
• Home internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic service with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload when working remotely.
