Supervisor, Accounts Receivable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounts receivable team, which includes overseeing inventory management and providing staff training.

• Oversee and coordinate follow-up actions to guarantee fair work distribution, prompt account follow-ups, and achievement of collection targets.

• Conduct weekly quality assurance assessments of the team's performance.

• Analyze staff productivity reports on a weekly basis.

• Deliver weekly updates on staff productivity to the AR Analyst.

• Assist in addressing and resolving inquiries from external and internal clients.

• Prepare and maintain necessary reports or logs.

• Stay informed about current healthcare issues and regulations.

• Identify problems and collaborate with the manager and director to find solutions.

• Provide training, supervision, feedback, and take disciplinary measures as required.

• Monitor team attendance and usage of paid time off (PTO).

• Promptly disable remote access for clients of employees who have been terminated or transferred when necessary.

• Train direct reports to ensure adherence to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.

• Limit access to Protected Health Information (PHI) to the minimum necessary for assigned roles.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a physician business office or a similar environment.

• At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare billing management position.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Must be dependable, responsible, goal-oriented, and adaptable.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking skills.

• Capable of exercising sound judgment and making decisions based on accurate and timely information.

• High integrity and dependability, coupled with a strong sense of urgency and results-driven focus.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Must own a smartphone or electronic device that can download applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes.

• Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with others, manage stress, and meet the physical demands outlined.

• Must understand and adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.

• Required to manage, safeguard, and disclose patients’ PHI in accordance with HIPAA standards.
