This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee a team of subcontractors and Eleven Western Builders staff throughout the duration of projects.
• Conduct onboarding, basic safety training, equipment training certification, CPR, and OSHA training as necessary.
• Offer insights regarding job specifications.
• Utilize ProCore to document project progress and submit daily reports to the Project Team.
• Review job plans at least twice daily and monitor job progress during site walks.
• Direct work and collaborate with subcontractors to schedule activities effectively.
• Hold daily meetings with retail clients, the EWB construction team, and inspectors.
• Coordinate all site construction activities while supervising up to approximately 140 field personnel daily.
• Manage projects valued at approximately $5 million or more, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget.
• Guarantee that finished products comply with quality standards, regulations, and inspection criteria.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to general safety protocols.
• Generate, submit, and monitor RFIs and RFI responses to identify the scope of change orders.
• Exhibit integrity, compassion, and empathy in client interactions and foster a strong work ethic.
• Step into ongoing projects and undertake Superintendent responsibilities across various specialties.
• Deliver clean and organized projects on time with fewer than two loose ends at completion.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in building/remodeling within sectors such as retail, hospitality, fuel stations, open store remodels, or fast food, with relevant experience in the last 5 years.
• Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, calculating square footage, and material take-offs.
• Ability to read construction documents and possess knowledge of construction methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Project, Word).
• Intermediate proficiency with ProCore is advantageous.
• A valid CA Driver’s License, a good driving record, and reliable transportation are required.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Current OSHA 10 and CPR certification is a plus.
• Proven track record of maintaining safety and adhering to safety standards.
• Willingness and capability to travel extensively across California and other assigned project locations as needed for business.
• Ability to accommodate frequent overnight travel, extended stays near project sites, work across multiple geographic regions, and remain on-site during critical phases of projects.
• Flexibility to work various schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Physically able to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motions, and using hand tools.
