Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Oversee EWB personnel and subcontractors throughout the entirety of construction projects

• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, in accordance with codes, and with comprehensive documentation

• Facilitate onboarding, safety training, equipment training certification, CPR, and OSHA training as necessary

• Provide insights regarding job specifications

• Utilize ProCore to document project progress and deliver daily updates to the Project Team

• Review job plans at least twice a day and assess job progress during site inspections

• Direct work and coordinate subcontractors to plan construction activities

• Hold daily meetings with retail clients, the EWB construction team, and inspectors

• Oversee all site construction operations and manage up to approximately 140 field personnel daily

• Manage projects valued at approximately $5 million or more, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget

• Ensure that end products comply with quality standards and regulatory inspection requirements

• Hold subcontractors accountable for following general safety protocols

• Create, submit, and monitor RFIs and their responses to pinpoint change-order scope

• Embody EWB’s culture through integrity, compassion, empathy, pride in work, and fostering a strong work ethic

• Step into ongoing projects and undertake Superintendent responsibilities across retail, hospitality, fast-food, fuel-station, and open-store-remodel projects

• Deliver clean and tight project completions with fewer than two loose ends upon finishing

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role is required

• At least 3 years of experience in building/remodeling within retail, hospitality, fuel stations, open store remodels, or fast food, with relevant experience in the past 5 years required

• Strong proficiency in math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, calculating square footage, and material take-offs

• Capable of reading construction documents and knowledgeable about construction methods

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Project, Word)

• Intermediate proficiency with ProCore is an advantage

• Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, a good driving record, and reliable transportation

• Background check must be passed

• Current OSHA 10 and CPR certification is a plus

• Proven track record of maintaining safety standards and working safely

• Willing and able to travel extensively throughout California and to other assigned project locations as business needs dictate

• Frequent overnight travel, extended stays near project sites, and the ability to work in various geographic regions and remain on-site for key project phases are required

• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as necessary

• Capable of performing general physical tasks such as lifting items up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, and using hand tools
