Substation Protection & Control Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• The role involves, but is not limited to, the design and preparation of the following Protection and Control Drawings:

• Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines

• AC/DC Schematics

• Substation Panel Layouts

• Substation Wiring Diagram and Cable Schedule

• SCADA and Communication Diagrams

• Point to Point Wiring Diagrams

• Collaborating with physical, settings, and drafting teams to ensure high-quality deliverables

• Analyzing and integrating vendor data into design outputs

• Adhering to client standards relevant to the work

• Conducting and ensuring compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes on all design packages

• Ongoing enhancement of job-related engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance

⛳️ Requirements

• AA or High School Diploma

• Experience in substation (transmission) design

• Over 3 years of detailed wiring design experience, including the development of single lines, schematics, and relay panels

• More than 3 years of experience using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation
