This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand a team of engineers, designers, project managers, and technical leaders dedicated to serving utility clients.

• Mentor and support team leaders and senior engineering professionals.

• Collaborate with market, operations, and technical leaders to develop strategies for team growth and client success.

• Drive initiatives related to recruiting, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and employee advancement.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Cultivate long-term relationships with Investor-Owned Utilities (IOU), Municipal, and Cooperative utility clients.

• Assist in business development, client account expansion, and strategic market initiatives.

• Oversee workload forecasting, resource management, utilization, and financial performance.

• Ensure the successful execution of utility substation projects with a focus on quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.

• Enhance design standards, engineering practices, and knowledge sharing.

• Drive the growth and expansion of Olsson's utility services through effective leadership, innovation, and operational excellence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• More than 8 years of substation engineering experience.

• Over 4 years of experience leading teams in an engineering consulting, utility, or infrastructure setting.

• Experience in leadership through other leaders, such as project managers, supervisors, technical managers, or team leads (preferred).

• Proven track record in talent development, team expansion, and organizational leadership.

• Strong business acumen, with experience in securing work, managing staffing, enhancing financial performance, and meeting operational goals.

• Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.

• A genuine passion for collaborative work, ownership, and making a positive impact on communities.
