Adjunct Lecturer, Course Developer – Raising Capital

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and instruct the graduate-level Raising Capital course within the M.S. in Technology Management program.

• Create course objectives that align with the overall learning outcomes of the program.

• Design activity maps that connect course activities to objectives and industry relevance.

• Prepare a comprehensive syllabus for curriculum review and approval.

• Collaborate with Instructional Design to produce course materials, such as videos, infographics, and interactive resources.

• Update and troubleshoot existing courses as needed.

• Lead lectures, instructional activities, and classroom discussions.

• Assess student work and assignments.

• Address student inquiries and serve as the primary contact for questions.

• Hold weekly office hours.

• Prepare, maintain, and enhance the course content in Canvas.

• Participate in program faculty meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a graduate degree in IT (e.g., computer science, software engineering, AI), business management, finance, or other related fields.

• Have at least 15 years of industry experience, focusing on driving digital transformation and innovation in large corporations.

• Exhibit a strong academic background in a relevant discipline.

• Demonstrate proficiency in the subject matter pertinent to the course.

• Have professional experience and proven success in an applied industry context.

• Accumulate 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.

• Submit a CV that includes university teaching experience.

• Provide a cover letter detailing interest in the course and pertinent teaching experience.

• Online instructors must reside in one of the specified states under Columbia University's Remote Work policy.
