Subject Matter Expert – Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, English/Japanese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Create authentic Manufacturing and Industrial Operations scenarios in either the target language or English, tailored to the operational contexts of the target locale (e.g., production workflows, procurement coordination, quality control, industrial maintenance, process optimization, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving activities).

• Modify structured evaluation rubrics for tasks involving operational problem-solving, engineering analysis, inventory coordination, and production management.

• Assess AI and human-generated responses for factual correctness, operational efficiency, safety awareness, and industrial realism.

• Contribute to the development of “gold standard” solutions that embody best practices in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain operations within the target locale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in the target language along with a strong command of professional English.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Operations, Production Management, Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain Operations.

• Experience in one or more relevant roles such as Purchasing & Procurement, Production Supervision, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Logistics Coordination, or Manufacturing Operations.

• Comprehensive understanding of industrial workflows, operational safety standards, production processes, procurement procedures, and the Indian manufacturing landscape.
