This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the assessment of current and future-state VHA business processes concerning Elevated Risk Care Management.
• Design, develop, and implement enhanced business processes and workflows across VHA Medical Centers and VISNs.
• Identify operational challenges through stakeholder interviews, data analysis, and process mapping.
• Provide actionable recommendations to government leadership.
• Oversee redesigned processes after implementation and create metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to VHA program offices.
• Prepare and deliver reports, briefings, process documentation, and suggestions for senior VHA officials and federal contracting stakeholders.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in health systems analysis, healthcare operations, or a related field.
• A Master's Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Health Policy, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Extensive practical experience within or in direct support of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
• Knowledge of VHA Medical Center operations and Veterans Service Network (VISN) structures.
• Capability to obtain and maintain VA network access and undergo a Position of Public Trust background investigation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; U.S. citizenship may be required.
• Working knowledge of clinical and business process frameworks within the VHA.
• Experience in supporting process analysis, redesign, or implementation initiatives at the program or enterprise level.
• Previous experience assisting VA mental health, suicide prevention, or behavioral health programs.
• Familiarity with VHA Elevated Risk Care Management policies, tools, and clinical workflows.
• Experience with the Patient Record Flag (PRF) system or High Risk for Suicide (HRS) care pathway.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Human-Centered Design methodologies.
• Proficiency with VA data systems, electronic health record platforms, particularly VistA/CPRS or Oracle Health/Cerner, and business intelligence tools.
• Prior federal contracting experience in a Subject Matter Expert or senior advisory role.
• Ability to produce analytical products for GS-14/15 or SES-level government clients.
