Field Deployment Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Travel to CBP locations, including remote and challenging environments

• Install, update, repair, and activate infrastructure and end-user devices

• Diagnose and resolve issues that remote support is unable to address

• Confirm that installed equipment is functioning correctly before departing each site

• Ensure that site personnel are capable of operating and explaining the deployed equipment

• Adjust deployment strategies based on actual site conditions and escalate higher-level decisions when necessary

• Arrive equipped with the necessary tools and resources for each deployment

• Generate precise as-built documentation that reflects the deployed equipment and any deviations from the original plans

• Record site conditions that may impact future deployments

• Log troubleshooting knowledge in a searchable format

• Collaborate with network engineers, cloud and mobility teams, site leadership, officers, and agents

• Deploy equipment while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations

• Inform site leadership about deployment activities and timelines prior to arrival

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required

• Active CBP Background Investigation (CBP BI) and Entry on Duty (EOD) are highly preferred; candidates without these may initiate CBP BI processing

• Experience in deploying or refreshing equipment at unfamiliar locations

• Proven ability to work independently in remote areas

• Capability to evaluate and respond when site conditions differ from provided documentation

• Experience in adhering to operational schedules within facilities that cannot halt operations

• Active CBP BI, a fitness determination from another DHS component, or an active DoD clearance is preferred

• Proficiency with networking hardware, end-user devices, and cabling

• Network+ or CCNA certifications are beneficial but not mandatory

• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 90–95%

• Ability to manage equipment, work at heights, and spend time in unconditioned environments

• Flexibility to work scheduled hours outside of regular hours when necessary
