Studies Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee sophisticated power system analyses within the renewable energy industry.

• Manage intricate studies, including TOV, TRV, AC interference, 5mA, insulation coordination, and EMF.

• Utilize specialized software to model and evaluate electrical phenomena.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to analyze results and propose solutions.

• Ensure technical precision and adherence to industry standards.

• Mentor junior engineers and engage in initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Create procedures for new study domains and aid in business development.

• Act as the technical lead on projects, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and clients.

• Perform technical reviews and uphold quality control standards.

• Investigate emerging technologies and contribute to enhancing processes.

• Attend client meetings, present technical information, and assist in proposal development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.

• Possession or progress towards a PE or P.Eng. license is required.

• At least 4 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years directly related to power systems.

• Expertise in engineering software such as ETAP, Easypower, PSCAD, Polaris, CDEGS, ASPEN Line Constants, and TLW-GEN.

• Experience in renewable projects is mandatory.

• Capability to independently manage workload and accomplish tasks efficiently.

• Strong analytical abilities, self-driven, and capable of working under pressure.

• Excellent skills in presentation, verbal, and written communication.

• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate effective relationships with colleagues, management, clients, and external agencies.

• Must possess authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
