Student Social Media Specialist, Portuguese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager to enhance a social media growth strategy for Portuguese-language platforms.

• Strategically plan, create, and schedule content for Facebook and Instagram, which includes captions, graphics, Stories, Reels, and other short-form content.

• Ensure that all content adheres to BYU-Pathway brand guidelines and is tailored to resonate with Portuguese-speaking audiences.

• Monitor and engage with comments and direct messages using approved messaging protocols.

• Escalate any sensitive or complex inquiries as necessary.

• Analyze monthly page performance and provide insights regarding content effectiveness and potential improvement areas.

• Propose and assist in social media tests aimed at enhancing reach, engagement, and overall growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline at a CES institution: BYU, Ensign College, or BYU-Idaho.

• Must possess native-level proficiency in Portuguese, with a strong preference for Brazilian Portuguese.

• Required to have professional-level proficiency in English.

• Residing in Utah or Idaho, USA is mandatory.

• Familiarity with best practices for Facebook and Instagram, including content trends, engagement strategies, and basic platform analytics is essential.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

• Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and current temple worthiness is required.

• Experience in managing or moderating social media accounts is preferred but not mandatory.

• Creative experience in planning, filming, and editing short-form social media videos is a plus, though not required.

• Familiarity with tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva, Hootsuite, or similar platforms is preferred but not essential.

• Submission of a resume and cover letter is required; a portfolio and social media samples are optional.
